Continuous Waste Oil Distiller Construction Manual

This manual describes the construction and operation of my continuous waste oil distillation system, developed and refined through many years of practical workshop use.

Unlike simple batch stills, this design operates continuously and is intended for people who want to process suitable waste oils into lighter fuel fractions efficiently and economically.

Free Updates Included

All future amendments, improvements, sketches, and dimensional updates are supplied free of charge to manual owners.

The latest version of the design includes modifications that can increase production capacity to as much as 20 litres per hour with selected oil types and suitable operating conditions.

Additional drawings, sketches, and updated dimensions are supplied separately by email together with your password details after purchase.

What This System Can Do
Process suitable waste motor oils, hydraulic oils, transmission fluids, and many other petroleum-based oils.
Produce clean, light fuel fractions suitable for further treatment or direct use depending on local requirements and feedstock quality.
Bleach and recover dark diesel-based fuels and remove many contaminants.
Operate continuously rather than in small batch runs.
Produce fuel with significantly less odour than typical pyrolysis systems.
Real Workshop Engineering

This is not a theoretical design.

The manual is based on machines that have actually been built, tested, modified, rebuilt, and operated in real workshop conditions.

Many commercial systems are large, heavy, and expensive. This design focuses on simplicity, efficiency, and practicality while remaining within the capabilities of an experienced home fabricator.

If you can cut steel, drill holes, and perform basic welding, you can build this machine.

Construction Requirements

The system can be built from commonly available materials including:

Mild steel sheet
Steel pipe and fittings
Basic workshop tools
TIG, MIG, or stick welding equipment

Many builders choose to use recycled materials and scrap steel to reduce construction costs.

Inside the Manual
Detailed construction photographs
Dimensions and component layouts
Operating principles explained in plain language
Fuel recovery and bleaching information
Distillation tips gathered from years of practical experience
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
Proven designs that have already been built and tested
Is This For You?

Waste oil processing can be rewarding, but it is not a magic machine.

The feedstock varies from batch to batch, preparation is important, and good results depend on understanding the process.

If you enjoy building things, solving practical problems, and becoming more self-reliant, this manual will provide a solid foundation for constructing your own continuous waste oil distillation system.

The goal is simple:

Turn low-value waste oil into a useful fuel resource using equipment you can build yourself.
